New EAW Mount for Picatinny Rails
Release and locking of this mount, that guarantees perfect repeatability of zero, are made by two handy levers. Unlike mounts with a continuous rail, the EAW mount is also suited for rifles with a split Picatinny rail, as the Merkel Helix, for instance, or for scopes with a big reticle adjustment knob. The support in the rear foot serves for windage adjustment.
Both lock levers are adjustable, thus allowing compensation of possible tolerances in the width of the Picatinny rail. An elaborate lever construction prevents abrasion of aluminium rails. The base of the mount is made of DURAL, whereas all actuating elements are steel.
An extended front foot, which allows the shooter to increase the eye relief by up to 45 mm, for use especially with short action rifles, is also available on request. The base may be fitted with tops suited for any type of scope (either one requiring rings dias. 1"/26 mm, 30 mm, 34 mm, or one with a mounting rail, such as a standard rail, or the Zeiss ZM, Swarovski SR, Schmidt & Bender Convex rails). Like all EAW products, this mount is also subject to the 30 years' warranty against material and manufacturing faults.
